About the Presenter:
Mary Strain leads business development activities for artificial intelligence and machine learning for public sector organizations at AWS. Mary began her career as a middle school teacher in The Bronx, NY. Since that time, she has had leadership roles in education and government technology organizations. Mary has advised K-12 and higher education institutions, as well as state and local governments, on innovative policies and practices in competency-based assessment, curriculum design, micro credentials, and workforce development initiatives. As an advisor to technology firms, higher education institutions, and state agencies, she has been at the leading edge of bringing innovative technology to education for two decades. Mary holds a BA from Fordham University and an MPA from The City University of New York.
