About Global Engagement

CHEA’s Global Engagement brings together institutions, quality assurance organizations, and higher education leaders from around the world who are committed to advancing academic quality and strengthening quality assurance systems internationally. Through this work, CHEA fosters collaboration, dialogue, and shared learning across borders to support effective, transparent, and innovative approaches to higher education quality.

Participants in CHEA’s global community include higher education institutions, quality assurance agencies recognized by national or governmental authorities, associations, policymakers, and individuals with expertise in accreditation and quality assurance. Together, they engage on issues that shape the future of higher education worldwide and contribute to strengthening public trust in academic quality.

As part of CHEA’s broader mission, Global Engagement extends the organization’s role as a convener and advocate for quality assurance, connecting U.S. and international perspectives while supporting institutions in diverse national and regional contexts. CHEA supports global engagement through key initiatives and resources, including the CHEA–ANQAHE Gateway, which provides a platform for connecting institutions and quality assurance organizations worldwide, and International CHEA Membership, which offers institutions opportunities to engage more deeply in CHEA’s global community and activities.
