New and Returning Members

Thank you for joining the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). Your membership supports CHEA’s important work as a voice and advocate for accreditation, as the only private sector organization in the United States that recognizes institutional and programmatic accrediting organizations and as “Accreditation Central” for information on accreditation and quality assurance. 

Make sure that you are getting the full value of your membership by:

  • Sending us email addresses for others in your organization who would benefit from receiving materials from CHEA.
  • Taking part in CHEA activities including by-invitation Webinars and the members-only Summer Roundtable that focus on major issues affecting accreditation and quality assurance.
  • Joining us for the CHEA Annual Conference and taking advantage of the substantial member discount for registration.
  • Visiting the CHEA Website to view the CHEA Database of Accredited Institutions and Programs, for issues of various publications including the Federal Update and Accreditation in the News (which also will be emailed to you) and to find a wealth of information materials on accreditation and quality assurance, and
  • Letting us know about issues that you think would be important for CHEA to address.
