Government Raps Universities for Shortage of Teachers (Times of India, June 24, 2020) "Expressing displeasure over 50% vacancies of teachers in higher education institutions and no institute have an 'A' grade from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), governor Ananiben Patel asked vice-chancellors and officers to fill up all vacancies at the earliest, beside making NAAC evaluation mandatory."

China's Medical Education Accrediting Agency Awarded WFME Recognition Status (Xinhuanet, June 23, 2020) "The Working Committee for the Accreditation of Medical Education (WCAME), Ministry of Education, the agency that accredits medical education programs in China, has been awarded recognition status by the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME). The move signals that China's medical education field has put in place standards and an accrediting system with international substantive equivalence, winning international recognition for its quality of medical education accreditation, according to the Ministry of Education."

Tertiary Education Completes Academic Year Successfully (Cyprus Mail, June 23, 2020) "An important policy measure implemented on the initiative of the Cyprus Agency of Quality Assurance and Accreditation in Higher Education (CYQAA) was to recognise the possibility for universities to apply for the first time alternative kinds of evaluation and graduation in accordance with the guidelines provided by the European Quality Certification Body."

Quality Assurance of Higher Education Is Now Urgent (University World News, June 11, 2020) "Quality assurance (QA) in higher education is now becoming well-established in Africa and the majority of countries have established a national QA agency, or its equivalent, for higher education. However, the emphasis so far has been on undergraduate education, with hardly any attention being given to postgraduate education."
