Sorbonne Paris Nord Looks to Be First Non-State University in Greece (Tovima.com, February 12, 2025) Reports indicate Sorbonne Paris Nord seeks to establish Greece’s first accredited non-state university under new education law. To gain approval in Greece, a non-state university must already offer recognized higher education programs and award degrees in its home country. The parent institution must be officially accredited and included in Greece’s national register of recognized foreign higher education institutions, and the Greek branch must include at least three schools, each offering at least one accredited undergraduate program.
“Study in Iraq” Program Guarantees International Accreditation, Improves Quality of University Education. (Iraq News Agency, February 10, 2025) The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced that more than 3,000 international students from 91 countries are studying in Iraqi universities. The ministry stressed that the "Study in Iraq" program enhances the quality of university education and ensures international accreditation.
