Turkmenistan and CHEA Discuss Cooperation in Higher Education Accreditation (National Information Centers, October 2, 2024) As part of the official visit of the delegation of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan to the United States, a productive online meeting was held between Deputy Minister of Education of Turkmenistan Azat Atayev and representatives of the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). The main topic of the meeting was cooperation in the field of internationalizing Turkmenistan's accreditation system.

Legal Education Council Sanctions Nine Universities Over Quotas (University World News, September 27, 2024) The Council of Legal Education in Nigeria has suspended the admission of students into the faculties of law of nine universities across the country that willfully admitted and graduated students before obtaining the council's accreditation. The council, however, pledged to accommodate within available space the over 1,000 students unlawfully admitted by the university through its persistent violation of its admission quota.
