Kosovo Accreditation Agency - (KAA)

Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA), established under Law No 08/L-110 and the Law on Higher Education No. 04/L-037, is the sole official national authority for quality assurance in higher education in the Republic of Kosovo. It carries out institutional and programmatic accreditation of public, private, and non-profit higher education institutions, covering academic study programs at the bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral levels. KAA’s activities are conducted exclusively within the geographic territory of the Republic of Kosovo. Accreditation applies solely to degree-granting programs at the bachelor’s level and above; non-degree programs are excluded from the scope. KAA also validates international accreditations granted by ENQA and CHEA-recognized authorities. (2026)
