The Ministry is is the national government authority responsible for higher education and scientific research policy in Senegal. The Ministry’s main tasks are to prepare and implement the higher education and scientific research policies defined by the Head of State. It exercises its powers in connection with universities, higher schools teaching and with all applied research centers, and coordinates the conduct of research policy with all departments.
