Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA)

FIBAA was established in the fall of 1994 by leading business associations from Switzerland, Austria, and Germany. It was founded as a non-profit international foundation with the mission of promoting transparency and quality in the education sector. FIBAA is an accreditation agency responsible for the academic and content-based evaluation of study programs, specifically those leading to Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, as well as institutional accreditation of higher education institutions both in Germany and internationally. FIBAA’s expertise focused on programs in economics, law, and social sciences. However, from 2009 onward, its scope expanded to encompass other fields, including engineering, IT, education, and the natural sciences, as well as additional types of programs.
