CAMES coordinates higher education and research systems in francophone Africa, in order to harmonise higher education and research in Africa. It accredits bachelors, masters and doctoral degrees of higher education institutions in its member countries, and evaluates their lecturer-researchers.

CHEA's Mission

Council for Higher Education Accreditation serves its members, students, and society through advocacy for the value and
