Council for Higher Education Accreditation Announces Heather Perfetti Elected to its Board of Directors

(Washington, D.C.) — The Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) announced today that Hether F. Perfetti, J.D., Ed.D., President of the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) and Chair, Council of Regional Accrediting Commissions (C-RAC) was elected to CHEA’s Board of Directors.

"This time is an important moment in higher education accreditation and institutional advancement. During this critical juncture, the CHEA Board welcomes the insightful vision and extensive institutional experience brought to it from Dr. Perfetti,” said CHEA Board Chair F. Javier Cevallos, Ph.D., President of the American Academic Leadership Institute. “Her strong background and impressive leadership in higher education will significantly contribute to CHEA’s mission and the broader higher education accreditation community’s goals.”

Dr. Perfetti’s term begins January 1, 2026.
