CHEA Position Paper (Revised 2019)
 

CHEA has issued a revised position paper on Appropriate Accountability for Accreditation and Federal Policy. The document updates and reframes the position paper on accreditation regulation originally released by CHEA in 2017. This version broadens the focus, speaking to appropriate accountability for accreditation in relation to CHEA’s three goals of accreditation as protecting students, advancing innovation and sustaining accreditation’s strengths and addresses how suggested changes in federal law and regulation can be part of this effort.


CHEA Position Paper (2017)

The CHEA Position Paper addresses regulatory relief for accreditation and offers proposals to reduce federal regulation whether generated from statute, regulation or sub-regulatory guidance.
