Associations Team Up on Transfer Statement (Inside Higher Ed, December 16, 2021) "Three higher education associations—the American Council on Education, the Council for Higher Education Accreditation and the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers—published a new statement [on December 15] that outlines 'sound, equity-minded' policies for accommodating transfer students."

Morris Brown College Regains Federal Financial Aid (Diverse Issues in Higher Education, December 13, 2021) "The college had been restricted from taking part of the financial aid program after losing its accreditation. The college has received accreditation candidacy by the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS), a Virginia-based accreditation agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. After obtaining accreditation candidacy, Morris Brown College became eligible to participate in Federal Financial Aid programs."

Gillette Community College District On Track to Achieve Accreditation in Three to Five Years (Casper Star-Tribune [Wyoming], December 7, 2021) "The decision to form the Gillette Community College District has been made. But there are many details that go into getting the first new Wyoming community college district in more than 50 years up and running."

ITC Placed on Warning by Accrediting Agency (The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, December 9, 2021) "Atlanta’s Interdenominational Theological Center was recently placed on warning status by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. As a result, the school’s application for reaffirmation with one of its two accreditors was temporarily denied. ITC, though, remains accredited with SACSCOC and also with its primary accrediting agency, the Association of Theological Schools."
