Commentary: Unified Accreditation Offers UMaine System Shared Resources and Better Efficiency (Press Herald, July 30, 2022) "Accreditation is like a report card for colleges and universities. It’s a way to ensure students who attend a school can receive a quality education. Without accreditation, schools lose federal funding for scholarships and an earned degree is of less value. Schools without accreditation are also less attractive to incoming students who want to make sure that they are getting a good-value, high-quality education."

Neumont College Levels Up With Northwest Regional Accreditation (Cison, August 5, 2022) "Neumont College of Computer Science has announced that it has been granted accreditation status with the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU). Along with its newly awarded regional accreditation, Neumont College continues to retain their national accreditation by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC)."
