Quality Assurance Efforts in Africa Bolstered by HAQAA3 (University World News, July 27, 2023) The implementation of the recently approved third phase of the Harmonisation of African Higher Education Quality Assurance and Accreditation initiative has begun. It focuses on four objectives: improving the quality of higher education; establishing the Pan-African Quality Assurance and Accreditation Agency; developing an African Credit Transfer Scheme, and building a culture of data gathering, utilisation, and preservation for policies in the African higher education system.

Maha has Max Accredited Colleges, Up 30% in Year Under NEP (Times of India, July 13, 2023) Over the past year, continuous efforts by the state government have led to a 30% increase in the number of accredited colleges and the ones initiating the accreditation process with the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).  So far, 1,168 colleges are accredited in the state, which is the highest in the country.
