On April 1, 2010, the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) participated in an audio conference hosted by the Association of Governing Boards of Universities and Colleges (AGB) to discuss accreditation and governing boards. During the one-hour session, CHEA President Judith Eaton and AGB President Richard Legon addressed engaging governing boards in the accreditation process and discussed suggestions for effective practice for presidents, board chairs, board members and faculty as they work with accrediting organizations.
